Procedure for Artwork Commissions

  1. Client contacts artist via contact form on the Booking page (see below) or via email (lisahutsonfineart@gmail.com) or, social media (see icons in the footer of this page.

  2. Artist will discuss reference photo(s), particulars and their ideas in consultation with client.

  3. Client submits acceptable reference photo(s) via contact form on Booking page, chooses size and composition as per the Commissions Prices page (see below)

  4. If artist and potential client are in agreement with above and price quote, the artist will give an estimated start date for the commission and, enter them on the waitlist.

  5. When the potential client comes up on the waitlist, payment will be required to start the commission. Depending on the client's selection, full payment or 50% non-refundable deposit will be required (see Commissions Prices).

  6. Upon submitting payment, client agrees with the artist's Commissions Contract (see below).

  7. Artist confirms the client is a US resident, at least 18yrs of age and then acquires their mailing address for  delivery of artwork.

  8. Artist receives client's payment and the portrait painting begins. Completion of artwork normally takes 2-3 weeks but can extend 6-8 weeks depending on size, requested changes, etc. (see Commissions Details on Art Commissions Information page)

  9. Via email, the artist will send progress photos throughout the painting process for client input and/or approvals. A final photo of the finished painting will be sent as well.

  10. Upon completion, the client will be asked to confirm their delivery address and submit any remaining balance, if applicable.

  11. Artist will mail completed portrait painting within the following 3 days and provide tracking number.
